VISA INFORMATION

​1. The Embassy of Viet Nam in Copenhagen is the only Competent Authority responsible for issuing Vietnamese visa in Denmark and Iceland.

In order to avoid any risk or inconvenience that may arise on boarding flights or at ports of entry in Viet Nam due to possible miscommunication, visitors are strongly recommended to get visa at the Vietnamese Embassy in Copenhagen. All information from other sources, except the under-mentioned, is not valid for getting Vietnamese visa in Denmark and Iceland.

2. Visa application can be made in person (no prior appointment is needed) at the Embassy or by post.  In case by post, passport and visa will be returned by post with registered delivery only. A self-addressed with registered delivery stamped envelope or postal  registered delivery service fee is required.

3. Time of processing:

-    Normal process: 05 working days (from the date when all required documents are received by the Embassy).

-    If requested, expedited visa could be made (with additional fee).

4.    Documents required:

-    Passport (original),

-    01 filled application form,

-    01 photo (4cm x 6cm or standard passport photo size),

-    return registered envelope or registered delivery fee (in case by post).

•    Visa fee and registered delivery fee should be in DKK cash, by check or bank transfer.

5. Visa fee:

It varies depending on type of applied visa and length of stay.
Visa fee payment has to be done at the same time the visa is applied

-    From 10h00 – 13h00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.

2. The Embassy of Viet Nam in Copenhagen has the honour to announce:

-    Visitors must obtain for a valid visa issued by the Embassy of Viet Nam in Copenhagen before boarding to Viet Nam.

-   According to current Vietnamese Immigration Laws (Ordinance on entry, exit, residence of foreigner in Viet Nam dated 28/04/2000, Decree No. 21/2001/NĐ-CP dated 28/05/2001, Circular No. 04/2002/TTLT-BCA-BNG dated 29/01/2001 to implement related Ordinance and Decree), visitors can only apply for a visa upon arrival at Viet Nam’s international airports/border gates under the following circumstances:

•    Attending funerals of family members,

•    Taking care of family members who are seriously ill,

•    Providing technical emergency support, medical care for seriously-ill patients, natural disaster and epidemic relief in Viet Nam,

•    Being invited by Vietnamese Government,

•    Other emergencies.

Under the above-mentioned circumstances, visitors must obtain an approval letter signed and sealed by the Embassy prior to their trips to Viet Nam.

-    The Embassy of Viet Nam in Copenhagen is not responsible for any inconvenience if visitors are not allowed to board the plane to Viet Nam or refused to enter Viet Nam in case they do not have a valid visa or a letter of approval issued by the Embassy.
